AddressReporting directly to the Head of Finance, you will play a key leadership role which will involve business partnering the Operations team at the manufacturing site, as well as working with the wider Finance Operations team to deliver our business strategy. Your role will see require you to provide accurate and transparent site financials through insightful reporting planning and governance processes, as well as supporting key commercial activities, including in CAPEX and cost improvement programs.
This is a role that is critical to the success of the site and wider business as it is overseeing the manufacturing facility of the group. Due to a recent change, they are now seeking a high-calibre Finance Manager that can commence on short notice.
Key Responsibilities
- Key member of the Site Leadership Team
- Building and leveraging relationships to drive value on site
- Partner the Site Manager in generating new cost improvement initiatives
- Supporting the Site Manager with analysis to explain variances to budgets and forecasts
- Partnering with the Operations Finance team, to drive change and transform the finance function
- Weekly reporting & forward-looking full month end estimates with insightful commentary
- Compilation of monthly reporting pack
- Coordinating and managing site budget and forecast process, and presentation packs
- Managing of overhead allocations to product costings
- Material usage and price variance analysis
- Regular reviews of BoM accuracy and waste %
- Support product costing team to ensure accuracy of budgeted and new product costings
- Support engineering team with the evaluation of capital project benefits
- Support post implementation benefit tracking
- Recommend site accounting process improvements
- Ad hoc analysis and projects
Skills & Experience
You are CA/CPA qualified, with strong experience in a manufacturing environment using SAP. Comfortable engaging extensively outside of finance and across the organisation your interpersonal and communication skills are first class, allowing you to gain the confidence of and develop strong professional relationships with those both above and below you. High level Excel skills are essential to your success in this role.
