Qualifications & experience
- CPA, CA, BA in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- 5+ years experience in a financial management position
- Able to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Demonstrated ability to communicate culturally appropriately with Aboriginal people.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Manage all statutory financial reporting including annual audits.
- Develop, implement and maintain management accounting including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Oversee month-end close process, balance sheet reconciliations (bank, receivables, payables, inventory), and fixed assets review.
- Oversee projects, contracts, and grant management across the organisation including unexpended grant reconciliation and acquittals.
- Manage tax matters, tax deadlines and other tax responsibilities.
- Provide financial guidance to the management team and board of directors.
- Lead the Finance Team to ensure a positive work environment aligned the Job Pathway's values.
- Ensure consistent and effective finance processes and systems are developed, implemented, and reviewed across the organisation in alignment with Job Pathway's strategic plan.
- Ensure development and maintenance of risk-based internal audit and quality systems in compliance with relevant contractual, regulatory and legislative requirements.
