Your key responsibilities will include:
- Manage all finance and accounting operations, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Contribute to strategic business planning and execute the financial strategy of the company.
- Provide strategic input, guidance, and leadership on decision-making issues to enhance financial performance.
- Develop financial plan, including risk minimisation plans and opportunity forecasting.
- Review the company's financial statements, ensure compliance with government regulations, statutory law, and financial regulations.
- Manage and audit payroll tasks and processes and oversee the company's procurement and purchasing functions.
- Produce cash flow management reports, (month-end reports, profit & loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements).
- Track, report and analyse actual budget variances on a regular basis.
- Assist with preparing various taxation documents.
- Input data into the company accounting system.
- Review bank statements and reconcile accounts for the preparation of BAS.
- Coordinate the receipt verification and the payment of creditor invoices.
- Assist with the preparation of interim income statements and balance sheets.
- Assist with monitoring cash reserves and investments, including cash-flow forecasting.
- Maintain any relevant financial files and records, including maintaining the asset register.
- Manage, renew and maintain insurance policies.
- Degree in accounting, finance, or related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role.
- Payroll experience essential.
- Strong knowledge and skills in relevant accounting software MYOB / Zero experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office suite & excellent IT knowledge and skills.
- Ability to multi-task and meet strict deadlines, possessing strong time-management skills.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
- Ability to establish and maintain strong working relationships with vendors, subcontractors, clients, financial providers, and key stakeholders.
- Display a positive, proactive attitude.
