Using Australia as a base to grow their business regionally in Asia, they are building out a corporate team here. The Australian business' newly appointed Chief Financial Officer is creating their finance team and the next appointment needs to be their 2IC in the form of a talented Finance Manager to grow along with the business, taking on more responsibility and complexity in their role as the business matures.
The Role
- Reporting to the CFO and with a small transactional team locally and offshore support, the Finance Manager will undertake a hands on role supporting critical business activities relating to financial planning, analysis, reporting and financial governance. YOur duties will include, but not be limited to:-
- Manage the budget and forecasting process, including the development and maintenance of planning tools to provide insightful analysis
- Actively participate as a vital member of cross-functional teams in evaluating new business opportunities, crafting financial models to support strategic decision-making.
- Interpret and communicate financial data, elucidating results, variances and underlying narratives to non-finance team members.
- Prepare comprehensive materials for the parent company and Board of Directors, ensuring clarity and relevance.
- Foster collaboration with global finance teams to address differences between US GAAP and Australian IFRS, Australian Tax regulations and maintain consistency, efficiency and best practices across finance operations.
About You
The successful Finance Manager will have a demonstrable track record in communication and collaboration as the position involves working closely with diverse teams and explaining financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders. Strong analytical abilities are essential for interpreting financial data and identifying trends, while adaptability and problem-solving skills are necessary for navigating dynamic business environments. .
Skills & Experience
- CA/CPA qualified
- Experience in a regional role or within a multinational would be advantageous
- Strong experience in report writing, using ERP systems, budgeting software and getting the most out of of Business Intelligence tools is crucial
- Working knowledge of AASB and Australian Tax will be highly regarded.
