Bankwest Finance forms part of the Financial Services (FS) support unit, whose vision is to make a difference on the things that matter.
Your Team
The Bankwest Finance team provide business partnering, performance information, financial analysis, insights, and support on the Bankwest business to support operational and strategic decisions.
The team's key stakeholders include the Bankwest Leadership team, and CBA Finance teams.
Your Impact & Contribution
The role involves support to the Senior Finance Manager and Executive Finance Manager, assisting with:
all aspects of the annual reporting cycle; including budget setting, plan loads, monthly actuals reporting, monthly reforecasting and financial processes, manual journals and reconciliations. quarterly, half-yearly and annual financial reporting requirements to CBA Group. Management reporting, including FTE and productivity reporting. To support outstanding customer service, the role requires stakeholder management, across a wide range of stakeholders. Your Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the Finance Manager include:
Support across the annual cycle, including Target setting, Plan load, actuals reporting, forecast submissions, plan transfers. Production of analysis and insight to drive Bankwest performance and strategy. Preparing high quality presentations and supporting analysis / insight for Business Partners. Answering ad hoc queries from Business Partners, Bankwest GM Finance and CBA Finance teams. Understand the financial and performance management frameworks of the Bankwest P&L and Balance Sheet. Manage the integrity of the general ledger. Support with balance sheet reconciliations as required. Driving continuous improvements within the Bankwest Finance team. Building strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders. Promote a customer-focused high performing team culture; and Contribute to team culture and nurturing work environment. Your Skills & Experience Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 2 - 4 years of experience within a finance team. Well developed understanding of core accounting principles Familiarity with CMI highly desirable. Strong attention to detail and ability to understand data and how it relates to business. Strong customer focus and ability to engage with all areas of the Bank from colleagues to Senior Leaders Strong presentation and communication skills to engage Finance and the Business. Proven interpersonal skills for working with various areas of business. Superior time management skills and ability to manage multiple deliverables with conflicting deadlines. Graduate qualifications in a numerate discipline - finance / accounting / business; and A post graduate qualification (e.g., CA/CPA, MBA) - completed.
