Role Overview:
Our client is seeking a Finance Manager to oversee all financial activities within the business. The successful candidate will manage finance operations encompassing wholesale, retail, and online channels. This role entails navigating through a transition period group. The Finance Manager will work closely with the General Manager and other stakeholders to ensure accurate financial reporting and support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
- Finance Management: Produce timely and accurate management reports including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow. Manage working capital items such as Inventory, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable. Oversee payroll processing and engage with retail staff on related matters.
- Budgetary Control: Develop and maintain annual budget models for wholesale, retail, and online segments. Monitor performance against budget and conduct forecasting as required.
- Systems and Processes: Optimize the use of accounting software (Xero) and retail management system (Solemate) to enhance operational efficiency.
- Compliance & Assurance: Ensure compliance with tax regulations and timely submission of BAS returns. Coordinate with external financial advisors on tax and statutory filings.
- Strong numeracy skills with attention to detail.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in commerce/accounting or similar.
- CPA or CA qualification preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Experience in accounting and office administration roles, preferably in retail environment.
- Proficiency in Xero and Solemate (or similar retail systems).
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Work closely with the General Manager and Retail Operations Manager to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
- Collaborate with the Customer Service & Office Administration Team to streamline processes.
- Liaise with external partners including logistics service providers, software suppliers, and financial advisors.
