An exciting opportunity has become available for a talented and experienced Finance Manager to join our Victorian hospitals.
About the Role
The Finance Manager will report to both the Executive General Manager (Vic/WA) and CEO Brunswick Private Hospital and be an integral part of the Victorian executive team by providing critical insights and commercial guidance in order to shape the strategic direction of the hospitals.
The full-time position will be split between South Eastern Private (Noble Park) and Brunswick Private (Brunswick) – with the successful candidate required to split their working week across the two sites.
The Finance Manager will oversee the preparation of financial and management reports for the hospital operations, including but not limited to business planning, budgeting and forecasting process and ensure hospital wide KPI’s are met.
The role also requires the incumbent to provide financial stewardship and meaningful management information and partner with internal stakeholders to drive operational and financial performance.
Essential Education/Qualifications required are:
- At least 5 years at a senior management level with experience in financial accounting and commercial focus
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting/Commerce together with CPA/CA qualification
- Experience in public or private health sector would be highly regarded but not essential

- Sound knowledge of financial and business management processes
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated leadership abilities in a growing organisation with the ability to lead/manage change in a collaborative manner
- Prioritisation and organisational skills with a strong attention to detail
- Ability to support and provide ongoing education of financial management and key financial drivers of the business to our non financial middle management team
- Ability to review systems and processes and make recommendations for improvement to the CEO.
- Demonstrated customer and patient focus
- Health and Medical Background and understanding of Medicare and Private Health Insurance billing and rebates would be highly regarded
