What you’ll do
- Provide proactive financial advice to the Real Estate, Operations and Procurement teams to facilitate informed decisions
- Provide governance over financials, effectively monitoring, analysing, and challenging performance in the context of committed plans
- Proactively identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement and automation
- Manage a team of Analysts and monitor their output to ensure team deliverables are achieved
- Manage and deliver the annual budget submission and regular forecast submissions
- Manage key relationships with senior stakeholders across Suncorp
- Design and develop financial models and provide advice on initiatives, propositions and business cases
- Ensure timely and accurate close of monthly results
- Co-ordinate the delivery of management information including insightful commentary on operating expenses, capital expenditure and FTEs in an efficient and effective manner
What you need
- Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting or similar (mandatory)
- Professional qualifications from the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICA) or Certified Practising Accountants Australia (CPA) (desired)
- Minimum 7 years experience in a finance role, within a medium to large financial services organisation (mandatory)
- Experience in business partnering, performance management or financial reporting role
- Experience and good knowledge of lease accounting (IFRS16)
- Experience in leading and coaching a team of Analysts
