Finance Manager - Transport

About the role  

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will lead a large team across two major states, including an acquisition business, and manage the team through a transformation journey. Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:  

• Building and leading a high-performing transport accounting team
• Provide mentorship, coaching, and development opportunities to foster a culture of continuous learning and professional growth
• Manage significant changes to the organisation, system and process, driven by a change to the Finance and Transport systems
• Provide strategic and analytical insights to key stakeholders on all aspects of the transformation initiatives
• Review current processes and procedures to enable and support:-
  • Improved quality of underlying data
  • Improved internal financial controls
  • Strategic decision-making, and
  • Analysis of financial performance metrics
• Develop financial policies and guidelines to optimise current SOP’s
• Work closely with senior stakeholders from both operations and finance
• Implement financial metrics and improved data quality to drive higher performance within the senior leadership team
• Work closely with Finance General Managers to build a high performing finance team

About you 

• 5 + years proven experience leading a business through a transformation journey
• Experience managing large teams across multiple locations
• Previous experience working with large complex business models and a post-acquisition integration process
• The ideal candidate will have transport industry experience
• CA or CPA qualified
