Your new role as Finance Manager
As a key member of the Executive Team, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial operations and ensuring the financial growth of Hurstville Private Hospital and Waratah Private Hospital.
Leveraging your previous experience, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of financial planning, analysis, reporting and compliance, providing strategic guidance to senior management and driving continuous improvement initiatives to optimise financial performance.

About you
- CPA or CA qualified
- Previous experience in finance management or similar leadership role within a complex industry
- Strong financial acumen and analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic insights and recommendations
- Expertise in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and analysis with a successful track record of driving financial performance and achieving organisational objectives
- Detailed knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations and compliance requirements
- Demonstrated experience and ability to provide leadership at a senior management level with the ability to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams to achieve shared objectives
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to a diverse stakeholder group
- Proficiency in financial software and tolls, including ERP systems, Microsoft Excel and financial modeling software
- Demonstrated ability to display a practical application to achieve control and process improvement to the daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual processes that are fundamental to the effective operation of the Finance function within the hospital
- Ability to function autonomously and tackle new and diverse tasks with minimal direction and supervision
- Strong knowledge of technical accounting, accounting systems and internal controls – together with the commercial acumen to apply these practically in a growing environment
- Agile approach with the ability to pivot between strategic financial management to playing an active role in the fundamental operations
- High level analytical skills with a solutions focused approach and the ability to promote innovative thinking
Desired Experience
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Accounting software
- Solver or equivalent cloud-based CPM
- WebPas experience
- Private hospital experience
- Knowledge of health funding within private healthcare
Essential Criteria
- Current National Police Check
- Evidence of COVID-19 Vaccination status, in line with Public Health Order for all health care workers to be fully vaccinated
