About the Role
Effectively work in collaboration with the finance team to administer and monitor finance functions in order to ensure ATSICHS Brisbane finances are maintained in an accurately and timely manner. The Finance Officer will have duties and responsibilities specifically to the accounts payable and payroll functions.
Duties
- Administer and maintain the accounts receivable function to ensure it is executed in accordance with the ATSICHS Accounts Payable Policy and Procedures.
- Ensure the maintenance of bank accounts, cash book and petty cash.
- Collaborate with the Finance team to ensure the finance functions are executed in accordance with the ATSICHS Policy and Procedures.
- Ensure the payroll function is executed in accordance with the ATSICHS Payroll Policy and Procedures. In addition, keep abreast of industry requirements and changes relevant to wages, payroll and similar entitlements related to industry awards, enterprise agreements and other Fair Work and NES updates.
- Commit to a high level of quality management for ATSICHS through use of LogiQC quality management systems.
- Commit to ongoing continuous quality improvement processes with annual reviews into the efficiency of service provision.
- Provide advice and guidance to internal stakeholders regarding finance matters and processes in relation to Accounts Payable and Payroll and Payroll related matters and entitlements.

Requirement
- Certificate III in Financial Services, Business or other related field.
- Minimum two (2) years experience as a finance assistant or similar role.
- Minimum one (1) year experience in payroll processing or similar role.
- Demonstrated ability to meet targets and performance outcomes.
- Ability to support and manage a continuous improvement model for achieving outcomes.
- Effective Communicating and Listening Skills.
- Working with Children’s Card (Blue Card) or be eligible to apply.
- National Disability Screening Check (Yellow Card) or be eligible to apply.
Preferred
- Certificate IV in accounting and Bookkeeping/Diploma of Accounting or higher.
- Previous experience in ELMO and Pay RTA.
- Sound knowledge of modern awards and experience with interpretation.
