The Role:
This role will encompass developing client relationships both internally and externally, and working in partnership with project leads and supporting the wider team. Reporting to the Finance Lead, the Finance Officer is responsible for processing accounts payable and accounts receivable, bank reconciliations and providing finance and administration support through payroll. This role will support the Finance Business Partner by providing project support through invoicing, managing contracts, and assisting with setting up users and clients, validating data and forecasting in a project management system. The Finance Officer will liaise with external accountants to lodge quarterly BAS and validate data ensuring accuracy of reporting and accounting.
To be successful in the role you will have/be:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related discipline or bookkeeping qualification
- 1-2 years’ experience in an Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable or similar role
- Exposure to Payroll and Project Management systems
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to organise workload and communicate with stakeholders
- High capability to maintain company confidentiality.
- Comfortable leading conversations with internal and external personnel.
- Experience and ability to monitor tax across multiple states (NSW, VIC and QLD)
- Positive attitude with the ability to adapt to a changing and flexible environment.
