KKCS is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to empowering people through their potential and well-being. With over 200 staff and volunteers, KKCS serves the Kurri Kurri community and surrounding areas. They provide:
- Aged Care and NDIS coordination, clinical and in-home services
- Commercial services in ground maintenance and cleaning
- Home modifications for emerging needs
- Out of School Hours services
- Youth and family support programs
The Role:
As an Advisor-level role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring compliance with regulatory standards while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Reporting directly to the CEO, you will lead the development, implementation and maintenance of robust Quality Management, Risk Management and Compliance frameworks. Your role will involve conducting audits, identifying risks, and recommending enhancements to policies and procedures across our service areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Quality Management:
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive Quality Management System aligned with industry standards.
- Lead service audits, monitoring activities, and accreditation processes.
- Analyse incidents and complaints to enhance service delivery and quality outcomes.
- Risk Management:
- Identify, assess, and prioritise risks across Aged Care, NDIS and Childcare services.
- Implement mitigation strategies and maintain a detailed risk register.
- Provide training on risk management practices to staff members.
- Compliance Management:
- Ensure adherence to legislative requirements and funding agreements.
- Monitor regulatory changes and advise on organisational impacts.
- Conduct compliance audits and maintain up-to-date compliance policies.
- Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Human Services or Quality Management.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role within the community service sector.
- Strong knowledge of Aged Care, NDIS and Childcare policies and regulations.
- Proven ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with internal audits and compliance frameworks (ISO certifications desirable).
- Membership with a relevant professional body (e.g., Quality Society of Australia).
- Experience in not-for-profit or Community Services environments.
