Lifeline Darling Downs and South West Queensland Limited are currently seeking a methodical and process driven part-time Finance Officer to join our Corporate Services team at our Russell Street head office. Our ideal candidate will be able to provide high level of finance function to all departments across our organisation whilst maintaining timely and efficient processes so that the finance team can provide essential support to the organisation.

As our Finance Officer, your duties and key responsibilities will be:
- Assist Finance & Asset Manager with month end planning, to ensure timely and accurate production of management accounts ensuring all accounts are reconciled monthly.
- Responsibility for accuracy of coding and efficient output of data requirements to deliver accurate BAS delivery.
- Complete General Ledger reconciliations as directed by the Finance & Asset Manager which may include prepayments, accruals, and suspense accounts.
- Complete Debtor & Creditor general ledger reconciliations on a regular basis.
- Investigate and develop new processes to increase productivity within the finance team.
- Ensure all financial procedures are up to date and current.
- Create, reconcile, and update suppliers on a regular basis to ensure timely and efficient payment of accounts to specified terms through the management of TrailD.
- Prepare and send customer invoices/statements in a timely manner.
- Reconcile all transactional data received from Lifeline Darling Downs shops. This may include EFTPOS, cash takings & direct deposits.
- Liaise with appointed Auditor including assisting in data collection and proof of processes.
- Reconcile Bank statements daily.
Our ideal key selection criteria for this role would be:
Essential:
- Diploma qualification in Finance or similar and/or 3 + years in accounts experience.
- Advanced time management skills with the ability to plan, organise and set own work priorities.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when dealing with competing priorities.
- Demonstrated good communication skills both verbal and written, with an emphasis on effective interpersonal skills negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- Demonstrated ability to proactively support the Values, Principles and Purposes of LDDSQWL.
- Current Queensland “C” class drivers’ licence
Desirable:
- MYOB Advanced experience will be highly regarded.
- Advanced excel skills and knowledge of Velixo and TrailD.
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite computer applications, Office 365 Share Point.
