Join our innovative Village community. Redeemer Lutheran School has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Finance Officer to join our dynamic team, in this newly created, permanent part-time position (working 8:15am-4:15pm, Monday to Friday, for 46 weeks of the year).

About the Role
The Finance Officer works closely with the school Business Manager, to provide financial and administrative support across accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll and general finance functions for the School and Early Learning Centre (ELC).
This diverse role will have duties and responsibilities that include:
- perform regular receipting and Bank Reconciliations;
- input Accounts Payable invoices and prepare payment runs;
- assist with billing and monitoring of Tuition Fee Accounts;
- process weekly ELC accounts, including CCS claims;
- assist the Business Manager with payroll functions;
- assist with the Annual Audit process, and preparation of statutory reports;
- maintain accurate financial records and filing systems;
- assist with End-of-Year Rollover and Stocktake processes; and
- provide back-up and relief support to the administration team.
About You
We are seeking a person who has:
- relevant experience working in a Finance Team, including Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable functions;
- excellent organisational and time management skills;
- high attention to detail;
- acumen for working with numbers and data;
- sound analytical skills, with an ability to identify and solve problems;
- strong interpersonal skills, and an ability to successfully communicate and liaise with people at all levels, both internal and external to the school;
- positive mindset and flexibility to deal with a constantly changing school environment;
- ability to work both independently, and collaboratively as part of a team;
- ability to work to deadlines, and effectively manage competing priorities;
- high level skills in the use of ICT (Excel, Outlook, Word, and database software – specifically FACTS and Xplor would be highly advantageous); and
- a professional attitude in relation to school matters, displaying ethical and respectful behaviour at all times.
