Finance Officer - Accounts Payable

EM Solutions (EMS), based in Tennyson, is a growing high technology company with operations across Australia and internationally with the Defence and Communications Sectors.  We are a world leader in the design and manufacture of "on-the-move" satellite communications terminals.  We have an exciting, innovative workplace with a talented workforce. 

Due to growth, we have a newly created vacancy in the Finance Team for a Finance Officer- Accounts Payable, reporting to the Financial Controller. 

This position encompasses a range of hands-on activities, including accurate data entry along with day-to-day problem solving, administration and maintenance of records. 

Experience with the MRP system Ostendo desirable but not essential.

Salary $65k-75K commensurate with experience/qualifications + SG superannuation.

The key requirements of the position are:

1. Minimum Three (3) years Accounts Payable experience. 
2. Solid understanding of GST.
3. Demonstrated intermediate level proficiency in MYOB.
4. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, and Excel.
5. Experience with MRP systems: matching of invoices to purchase orders and data entry.
6. Experience with foreign exchange, inventory, freight/shipping highly regarded.
7. Ability to build working relationships with Purchasing, Stores and Operations.
8. Assist with month end reporting, as well as, ad hoc reporting requirements as required.
9. Accuracy, attention to detail and discretion are the keys to being successful in this role.
10. Ability to prioritise and follow up and manage time effectively.
11. Permanent residency or eligibility to apply for Australian citizenship.
