We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Finance Officer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Provide efficient financial, accounting, and administrative support to ensure compliance with legislative and operational requirements.
- Manage bi-weekly payroll processes, including accurate interpretation and communication of Award conditions.
- Prepare, enter, and reconcile accounts payable/accounts receivable, credit cards, and BAS lodgements within specified timeframes.
- Reconcile bank accounts/term deposits and investigate/resolve anomalies, escalating unresolved issues to the Head of Finance.
- Maintain and reconcile internal control accounts, investigating and resolving anomalies promptly.
- Respond to internal and external queries within 24 hours of receipt.
- Assist business units by providing necessary financial information to meet or exceed key performance indicators.
- Undertake delegated transactional finance work within competency and timeframe.
- Ensure compliance with all RSPCA SA financial statutory and government policy requirements.
Requirements:
- Qualification in finance/commerce/accounting desirable.
- 3+ years’ experience in finance or accounting functions or similar role.
- Demonstrated experience in Award interpretation and navigating South Australian legislative requirements.
- Proficiency in processing payroll and resolving related enquiries.
- Experience in a finance role and proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.
- Previous experience in the not-for-profit sector preferred.
