Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and versatile Finance Officer with a specialised focus on Payroll and Accounts Payable functions to join our finance team. This is a brand new role and requires an individual with experience in both payroll processing, and Accounts Payable management, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial operations.
The Finance Officer will play a critical role in maintaining payroll integrity, managing vendor relationships, and contributing to the overall financial health of the organisation.

Aspire Facades is a company that specialises in architectural facade solutions. Facades are the outer layer of a building, and are one of the building's most important features. It helps to define the structure and may either be used to make the structure blend in with its surroundings or stand out and make a statement.
Currently, Aspire Facades is operating across a range of projects in Queensland and New South Wales
Responsibilities:
1. Payroll Processing:
- Calculate and process employee timesheets, wages, salaries, bonuses, and deductions accurately and in a timely manner using the implemented payroll software.
- Ensure compliance with payroll regulations, enterprise bargaining agreements, and company policies.
- Handle payroll inquiries and provide support to employees regarding payroll-related matters.
- Maintain employee records, including changes in compensation, benefits, and employment status.
2. Accounts Payable Management:
- Review and process vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and proper coding.
- Obtain necessary approvals and resolve invoice discrepancies.
- Submit payment processing, including batch payments for approval.
3. **Process Improvement and Efficiency:**
- Being a brand new role, we are looking for someone that can identify opportunities to streamline Payroll and Accounts Payable processes, increase automation, and enhance efficiency.
- Collaborate with multi-site teams to implement process improvements and best practices.
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and technologies related to Payroll and Accounts Payable functions.
About you:
- Previous proven experience in payroll processing and Accounts Payable management.
- Experience in the building and construction industry is highly regarded, but not essential.
- Proficiency in Payroll and accounting software (Employment Hero and Xero will be highly regarded) as well as MS Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of payroll regulations, enterprise bargaining agreements, and Accounts Payable principles.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail as well as time management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of internal controls, compliance requirements, and audit procedures.
