Finance Officer

We’re looking for an experienced Rates Officer to lend a hand at this Local Council in Sydney. You will be in a small team reporting to the Team Leader and providing excellent customer service to the relevant stakeholders. The role requires an individual with a resilient yet compassionate personality as you will be liaising with ratepayers in large volumes.

• Located in the Eastern Suburbs 
• 3-Month Contract with potential to extend 
• $40 p/h plus super 

What you’ll deliver

• Respond to and monitor customer inquiries via phone, online or in person
• Maintain all changes of property ownership records and changes of address, pensioner rates concessions and pensioner details in Council’s property system accurately
• Issue Land Information Certificates
• Process refunds via Technology One and process daily receipting for rate payments as required

What you’ll bring

• Experience in the use of  Pathway, Technology One, TRIM
• Previous experience in a rates environment in Local or State Government
• Strong time management skills, good ability to prioritise tasks and strong attention to detail
