We’re looking for an experienced Rates Officer to lend a hand at this Local Council in Sydney. You will be in a small team reporting to the Team Leader and providing excellent customer service to the relevant stakeholders. The role requires an individual with a resilient yet compassionate personality as you will be liaising with ratepayers in large volumes.

- Located in the Eastern Suburbs
- 3-Month Contract with potential to extend
- $40 p/h plus super
- Respond to and monitor customer inquiries via phone, online or in person
- Maintain all changes of property ownership records and changes of address, pensioner rates concessions and pensioner details in Council’s property system accurately
- Issue Land Information Certificates
- Process refunds via Technology One and process daily receipting for rate payments as required
- Experience in the use of Pathway, Technology One, TRIM
- Previous experience in a rates environment in Local or State Government
- Strong time management skills, good ability to prioritise tasks and strong attention to detail
