An exciting opportunity has emerged for an experienced and motivated Finance Operations Manager to join this well established and highly regarded Australian business to lead and coordinate the organisation’s transactional services to provide quality and efficient fiscal operations while implementing a culture of business improvement.
Role Overview
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Finance Operations Manager will be responsible for coordinating the Finance Department’s transactional services including accounts payable and accounts receivable, procurement processes and contract review of key suppliers whilst ensuring quality, efficiency and effectiveness of operations and implementing a culture of business improvement. This role will have a strong focus on identification of profit improvement initiatives using data analytics and lean management methods whilst also assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts, EOY financial statements and monitoring performance against agreed KPIs.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
The successful candidate must be CA or CPA qualified with proven experience in financial evaluations and compilation of information for use in decision making. Strong Financial Modelling, leadership and analytical skills along with good communication skills is highly desirable. Experience using an ERP System (JDE or similar) and/or MYOB is necessary along with prior experience in preparing financial statements and an understanding of lean management methods.
