As a pivotal member of the SustainHealth Recruitment team, the Payroll and Finance Manager will play a vital role in managing & supporting the existing finance team in accounts receivable & payable. This position requires the ability to effectively address and resolve pay and invoicing queries for clients while fostering collaborative relationships with internal teams to ensure seamless customer interactions.
The Payroll and Finance Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing all financial aspects of the organisation, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial operations, and change management. This role involves managing financial reporting, sales budgeting, forecasting, and payroll functions, as well as providing strategic financial insights to support decision-making. Will ideally have an understanding of the process for preparing & lodging GST & PAYG, and Statutory reporting. Assisting Management team in preparing Tender applications and insurance documentation.
The Finance Manager is responsible for maintaining strong internal controls, optimising financial processes, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Additionally, the Payroll and Finance Manager leads and mentors the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence.
You will liaise with our customers, managers, accounting, and payroll teams both internally and externally to ensure we are able to provide positive, timely solutions for all stakeholders.
To be successful in the role, you will ideally have had experience in a similar role and sector, have a relevant Qualification, possess a high level integrity, and understand the level of confidentiality this role requires. a positive outlook, be solutions focused, with a respectful customer-centric attitude, understanding a fast-paced sales environment.

- You will manage the Payroll and Finance team, accounts receivable, internal and external stakeholders as well as become part of the leadership team
- Have worked in recruitment or healthcare environments and understand the pace and compliance required
- Be well-written and able to communicate at all levels and in all mediums
- Be able to work to Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to meet or exceed targets and improve processes
- Resolve invoice queries and disputes promptly and professionally, with calm, respect, and confidence
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer account information in our database and other systems and documentation
- Assist with other accounting and admirative tasks as requested
- Providing exceptional customer service to all internal and external stakeholders and customers
- Have experience in complaint and queries management
- Be experienced in working collaboratively with all stakeholders
- Possess excellent customer care and people skills, escalating matters as required
- Be able to build relationships at all levels
- Understand and educate on all fair work and awards standards by state and healthcare profession
- Update rate cards and comply with all registral changes by state and profession
- Understand taxation/ account standards, law and changes in Australia
