About the role
The Downer Business Services Centre (BSC) provides finance related support to our operating businesses. We do this by focusing on our BSC operating discipline “The BSC Way” to enable improved customer outcomes and value return to the business. We believe that building the best teams, right capability, and structure, and simplifying our services to eliminate complexity will result in the right customer experience. This is a permanent full time role based in either our North Ryde NSW or Melbourne CBD offices.
This role is responsible for the standardization and improvement of processes across the BSC Finance Services portfolio. The Finance Services Group Process Lead (FSGPL) will be responsible for undertaking business and process analysis to identify and implement opportunities for process improvement. The role requires, provision of training on updated processes, document updates of The Downer Standard, consultation with key stakeholders, facilitating workshops, and resolution of issues as they arise.
The key objectives of the role are to:-
Partner with the relevant Finance Services service line/s to:
Create and implement changes and/or improvements when necessary
Document and publish processes to The Downer Standard
Process mapping and analysing process metrics and data to draw insights and identify root causes of problems
Build key relationships to better understand priorities and requirements.
What you’ll bring
Demonstrated experience in Business Process Modelling and Business Process Improvement.
Strong business analytical skills with the ability to extensively analyse business processes.
Demonstrated experience in applying project management methodologies and coordinating schedules of work.
Demonstrate business acumen, have a curious mindset, have ability to understand the business context, translate portfolio needs to business objectives and outcomes
Excellent interpersonal/negotiation skills enabling effective interaction with stakeholders and experience in leading/facilitating process improvement workshops.
