Form of workAn opportunity exists for a full-time Financial Accountant to join a highly collaborative Financial Services team in a supportive culture.
The Financial Accountant is a key member of the Financial Services Team and is primarily responsible for delivering high quality accounting services and financial reporting for the Uniting Church in South Australia. Specific tasks will include the production of regular monthly reports, budget development and forecasting, quarterly management reporting, preparation of statutory financial statements, oversight of payroll administration functions, and general accounting tasks.
Reporting to the Manager, Financial Services, the successful applicant will be required to have significant experience in a similar position coupled with degree qualifications in finance or a related discipline. The position requires the individual to operate with a reasonable degree of autonomy while having the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships across the organisation through well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.
A high level of computer literacy is essential in this role, as is a willingness to support the ethos of the Uniting Church. Experience within the not-for-profit sector will be highly regarded.
