The Role
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Financial Accountant to join our Financial Accounting team within our Renal business. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to develop and grow in their career in a multinational organisation with excellent support, team spirit and exposure to the Commercial business.
Key Responsibilities:
Produce financial statements and records in accordance with US GAAP, local statutory requirements and Baxter policies and procedures ensuring appropriate internal control environment
Ensure the integrity, timeliness and accuracy of the ANZ General Ledgers and its monthly financial and operational results are reported correctly to local management and Baxter Corporate
Review & support business models adopted with Baxter Business Services (BBS) and outsourced ADP to ensure financial data is accurate and delivered in a timely manner
Payroll - support investigation to ensure transactions a clearing in a timely manner
Complete statutory accounts and ASIC annual returns to comply with Australian Corporations law and liaison with external auditors.
Completion of Intercompany recharges
Completion of monthly Managed Capital Base and Cashflow reporting for operating reviews including budgeting and forecasting requirements
Maintain the company’s insurance policies and coordinate insurance claims to ensure that the company’s policies are renewed and up to date for ANZ
Tax compliance including payroll tax, PAYG instalments & GST review
Support the business with collections roadblocks & P2P issues
Ensure all financial reporting follows accounting policies and procedures, which includes both US & local GAAP and Baxter policies and procedures
Other tasks as required.
Key Requirements of the role include:
Degree qualified within relevant area
3-5 years in Financial Accounting, ideally within a large multinational complex matrix organisation
Advanced Excel knowledge is desirable
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Positive, flexible attitude and willingness to exceed expectations
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with sound business acumen.
