We are looking for a Financial Accountant to cover a 12-month contract and be responsible for managing various financial operations and fostering strong relationships within the organisation. Key responsibilities include:
- Maintenace of company general ledgers
- Reconciliations of all accounts
- Process fortnightly payroll and track leave accruals
- Reconcile and prepare payment summaries
- Timely payment of supplier invoices
- Reconcile and make monthly PAYG payments, Workcover & Payroll Tax payments
- Prepare monthly profit and loss statements
- Prepare forward looking cash flow forecast
- Process end of year reports for the ATO
- Reconcile and prepare annual reports for Workcover and Payroll Tax
- Assist with preparation of annual budget
- Providing necessary financial information to the CFO and CEO
What you will need …….
- Tertiary degree in a relevant discipline desirable
- Demonstrable prior experience in accounting or finance
- Working knowledge of Australian tax regulations
- Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Keen attention to detail and professional discretion
- Strong work ethic and commitment to workplace safety
- Professional presentation and productive communication skills
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
