About the Role
The Financial Accountant works as a member of the Corporate Services Team to progress the strategic direction of UCWB through the provision of high-quality financial management and advisory services.
The Financial Accountant will play a key role by assisting the Lead, Finance to deliver high quality management accounting, reporting and analysis. Responsible for all:
- end of month processes and reconciliations
- preparation of Business Activity Statements and other statutory reporting requirements
- Preparation of grant acquittals
- Assist Lead, Finance with budgetary reporting and tracking
- Work closely with and support the financial administration team so that it operates efficiently and effectively.
About You
This role is an exciting opportunity that would suit a highly motivated and self-driven individual looking to progress their career within the not-for-profit sector. The successful candidate will have qualifications in Commerce or Accounting and will have at least 5 years of relevant accounting experience. You will have worked within a team environment previously and possess effective communication skills both verbal and written with an ability to communicate to all levels including internal and external stakeholders. To qualify, candidates must also have the following:
- High level skills in the use of databases, spreadsheets and word processing, including proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel
- Experience with financial models, budgets and forecasts
- Desire for continuous improvements
- Ability to use initiative, set priorities and meet deadlines
- A current DHS Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willing to obtain one.

Location
This role is based at Bowden just a short walk to the popular Plant 3 and Plant 4 entertainment complex in Gibson Street however some off-site work may be required.
