About the Role
The Financial Accounting Section within the Financial Services Branch, Finance Group is looking for APS 6 Financial Accountants to deliver on the following responsibilities:
Duties
- Undertake accurate and timely complex journal preparation and reconciliations
- Support the monthly and annual reporting to the Department of Finance
- Prepare high-quality financial statements work papers
Skills and Qualifications
- Knowledge of and experience in the Commonwealth public sector financial accounting framework is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated technical experience in the relevant areas.
- Demonstrated experience using and maintaining financial systems (e.g. SAP FI/CO and TM1) is highly desirable.
What's on offer
The successful candidate will notionally be offered a 5-month hourly rate contract at the APS6 level. This position is based in Canberra.
As this role is with the Federal Government, only Australian citizens will be considered for this vacancy.
