We are a professional racing team competing in the Supercars series in Australia and GT Racing in Australia, Asia and Europe racing Mercedes AMG cars. Triple Eight Race Engineering do more than race cars, we design, engineer and manufacture to various industries including professional motorsport teams, the aviation industry and the broader motorsport industry. We sell AMG Mercedes parts to AMG Customer Racing clients throughout Australia and New Zealand and we support motorsport customers with technical support.

About the role:
A hands on, fast paced role within our Finance team reporting to our CFO. You will be responsible for the producing the month end results with analysis and commentary. You will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Finance function which will include the following.
- Maintain an accurate set of accounts which will facilitate the timely production of trading results.
- Monthly review and reconciliation of balance sheets accounts.
- Assist the CFO in the preparation of budgeting and forecasting.
- Maintain the Fixed Asset Register
- Managing day-to-day transactional banking
- Prepare the FBT, BAS and assist with the income tax return
- Provide support to other employees in the implementation of finance procedures.
- Supervise the outsourced payroll function.
- Supervise the AP & AR functions.
- Assisting the Manufacturing and Parts business with inventory invoicing and queries
- Be part of the team that reviews and improves processes and manages change throughout our business.
- Ensure that dealings with internal and external customers are conducted in a professional and ethical manner.
- Experience with, or ability to quickly learn an ERP system, eg MYOB Advanced
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills

About you:
You will be a degree qualified Accountant, enrolled or part way through your CA/ CPA and looking to further enhance your finance capabilities. You will be outgoing, be able to forge quick relationships with non-finance stakeholders, have good Excel skills and be looking for a role that will continue to grow.
Skills and Experience:
- An intermediate working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel, is essential.
- Proven knowledge and experience operating accounting-based software MYOB Advanced.
- Experience in a business with an inventory management system or a manufacturing environment is highly desirable
- Enthusiastic, self-motivated individual with a high attention to detail and the ability to prioritise shifting deadlines.
- A proactive and positive attitude with a flexible team focused approach.
