The Role
This is your opportunity to manage the daily operations of the financial reporting and assist in driving the strategic objectives of the Company strategy and implement improvements to financial and business processes.
This hands-on position ensures a diverse array of daily challenges, providing ongoing development opportunities and support.
The office enjoys excellent connectivity to major public transportation networks and offers free parking onsite for those who prefer to commute by car.
Given the team's close-knit nature, an affinity for office-based work is important, although some flexible arrangements can be accommodated, the primary focus of this role is an in-office presence.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Take charge of Trial Balance, General Ledger Accounting & Reporting and master the art of Journal entry management.
- Improve existing processes for greater efficiency.
- Oversee day-to-day transactional activities.
- Assist the team with reconciliations, month-end tasks, year-end financial accounts, and audits.
- Generate reports and perform reconciliations, including calculations for BAS, provisions, PAYG payments, and maintenance of the Fixed Asset Register.
- Provide insightful information for both short-term and long-term decision-making.
- Conduct various analyses on a wide range of financial and operational data.
The Candidate
- You will be a highly motivated and hands on finance professional.
- You will have similar years of experience in a commercial finance role or be a first or second mover from a Big 4 / Mid Tier Accounting team.
- Degree qualified and CPA/CA or near completed.
- Have superior communication skills that allow you to build open relationships.
