Financial Accountant

Woods & Co have partnered with a national manufacturing company, with a rich history spanning several decades. They are continuing to expand and are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to join the tight-knit team.

What do you do:

• Support financial analysts and oversee various financial accounting processes.
• Own the month-end, compliance and internal reporting activities and as well as the management of accounts receivable
• Maximise the capabilities of Netsuite
• Provide efficient and accurate advice and reporting
• Identify gaps within existing business controls and recommend the best way to minimise key risks
• Working closely with the GM of Finance, this role will be responsible for delivering the process and tools to enable customer and product profitability tracking
• Ensure that investments for company growth are carried out prudently and reduce exposure to unnecessary costs and risks
• The completion and improvement of the month-end close process including ensuring compliance with Australian Accounting Standards
• Cashflow management including ensuring sufficient cash is available in the short and medium term 

What do you need: 

• CA/CPA Qualification
• Proven experience in  Financial Accounting.
• 7+ years of experience in the building industry
• Proven experience running the month-end closing process
• Strong understanding of Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR) and end to end payroll function
• Strong understanding of financial policies and procedures
• High proficiency in the accounting software Netsuite
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
