About the Job
We have an exciting opportunity for a Financial Accountant to join our team in Archerfield and work closely with our Finance Shared Services Centre in the Philippines to ensure the complete, accurate and timely monthly processing of all accounting transactions and management reporting for our ANZ entities.
This is a full-time permanent position, reporting to the ANZ Finance Manager, where you will be assisting with maintaining the General Ledger and Month End functions. Your duties will also include working with the accounts payable team, the treasury team, liaising with external auditors in the preparation of annual financial statements, and assisting with the preparation and lodgment of taxation matters (GST, FBT, and Income tax) for Australia and New Zealand. Additionally, the role will support the manufacturing plant delivering month end management reports, assisting with inventory reconciliations and annual stock take and providing support to all our business teams with ad-hoc tasks as needed.
About You
The successful applicant will have a tertiary qualification or is working towards a tertiary qualification within a Finance/Accounting discipline. Previous exposure to large ERP systems such as SAP, intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills and experience in a similar role would be advantageous.
Exposure to Payroll accounting principles, experience working in a Manufacturing industry and an ability to pick up new concepts quickly would be favourable to the position.
Above all, excellent communication, and stakeholder engagement skills together with well-developed analytical skills and your ability to establish priorities and meet set deadlines whilst maintaining the highest level of accuracy and compliance will see you across the line.
