The Role
This is your opportunity to manage the daily operations of the financial reporting and assist in driving the strategic objectives of the Company strategy and implement improvements to financial and business processes.
This hands-on position ensures a diverse array of daily challenges, providing ongoing development opportunities and support.
The office enjoys excellent connectivity to major public transportation networks and offers street parking onsite for those who prefer to commute by car. Given the team's close-knit nature, an affinity for office-based work is important, the primary focus of this role is an in-office presence.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Take charge of Trial Balance and General Ledger Accounting & Reporting.
- Improve existing processes for greater efficiency.
- Oversee day-to-day transactional activities.
- Take charge of the reconciliations, reconcile intercompany transactions, month-end tasks, year-end financial accounts, and audits.
- Prepare daily and weekly cash flow and forecast cash flow
- Generate reports and complete calculations for BAS, provisions, PAYG payments, and maintenance of the Fixed Asset Register.
- Provide insightful information for both short-term and long-term decision-making.
- Assist budgeting and forecasting.
- Payroll process and reporting.
- Responsible for trade facilities and banking matters.
- Conduct various analyses on a wide range of financial and operational data.
The Candidate
You will have a relevant business / commerce degree, be CPA/CA or near completion and have relevant experience in a similar position, excellent communication, influencing skills, results driven, strong Excel and exposure to ERP systems such as Xero, Pronto, MS Dynamics and COGNOS would be desirable.
