AddressMichael Page is partnering exclusively with an ASX listed retailer to recruit a Financial or Senior Financial Accountant to sit within their head office team which is responsible for all financial reporting, compliance, and governance activities for the global Group.
Client Details
Our client has been established for close to 15 years and has a major presence in the retail industry locally and globally operating across more than 30 countries. They have no plans on slowing down and due to continued growth they are looking to hire a Financial or Senior Financial Accountant to support the Group Financial Controller with the financial reporting, compliance, and governance of the Group to ensure the long-term integrity of its financial position.
This position will be highly suitable for candidates looking for an opportunity straight from Big 4/Mid Tier. Those with some additional Retail experience are also highly sought after.
Description
Reporting to and assisting the Group Financial Controller, your duties will include but not be limited to:
- Preparation of Full Year and Half year financial reporting for the ASX listed parent company
- Preparation and lodgement of all statutory financial statements and tax returns
- Forecasting and day to day management of Group cash flow and currency requirements
- Management of the Group insurance program
- Management of all company secretarial requirements of Group subsidiary companies alongside external advisors
- Assist with applications for and compliance with store licensing requirements
- Month end accounting for accruals and prepayments
- Preparation and/or review of GL reconciliations
Profile
To be successful in this position, you will have the following attributes:
- CA/CPA Qualification
- Big 4/Mid Tier experience (Retail experience is an added bonus)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong technical reporting skills
- ERP system experience desirable
