SUMMARY:
This position reports to head of management and is responsible for statutory and management reporting across all areas of accounting and finance.
This position is responsible for budgeting and forecasting, in-depth analysis on the financial position for all companies across the group, capital and operational project evaluation, management reporting, transaction and accounting support, and the integration of growth initiatives through acquisitions and other means.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES HOWEVER NOT LIMITED TO:
- Manage all accounting operations including billing, account receivables, account payables, cost accounting, inventory accounting and revenue/cashflow.
- Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances.
- Prepare monthly financial statements.
- Support month-end and year-end close process.
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
- Ensure accounting compliance.
- Manage and comply with regulatory reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Improve efficiencies and reduce costs across the group of companies.
- Work closely with management and key stakeholders to share reports and an analysis of findings.
- Manage and monitor asset register, commitment schedules etc.
KPI RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitor the growth and profitability of the company and monitor cost of doing business.
- Develop and maintain timely and accurate financial statements and reports that are appropriate for the users and in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure an adequate level of cash and operating funds are available.
- Liaison with external accountant firm and auditors to complete BAS, annual tax returns, and other matters during the year.
- Ensure adequate insurance is maintained to business, contract and legislative requirement
- Ensure accurate on time submission of all reporting and payment required under legislation including FBT, BAS, payroll tax and superannuation.
- Constantly dealing with banks, solicitors, insurance for any matters associated with the business
- Assist with grant application forms and R & D
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Degree
- CPA/CA/IPA
- Relevant experience
