Tasks & responsibilities
- Provide accurate reports to budget owners
- Liaise with budget owners and support them in their analysis in case of variances
- Control accounting operations including: billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting
- Coordinate with budget owners for the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts
- Produce the reports and timely publish in EDF R reporting tools the consolidated financial statements, in line with EDF R management cycle instructions
- Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
- Liaise with the HQ Accounting team to make sure that financial statements are in line with EDF R accounting standards and guidelines
- Support month-end and year-end close process
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
- Additional controller duties as necessary.
Qualifications & experience
- 3-4 years' experience in a similar position
- CA/ CPA qualifications
- Proficiency in MS Office, Excel in particular
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles (including consolidation & IFRS) and procedures
- Experience with creating financial statements
- Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
- Excellent accounting software user and administration skills
- Capacity to adapt to a small team but fast-growing structure.
