Our client is currently in search of a Financial Controller to join their dynamic team and contribute to their ongoing success.

Role Overview:

As the Financial Controller, you will play a crucial role in overseeing financial management and strategic decision-making at this iconic venue. Reporting directly to the CEO, this hands on end to end role will allow you to lead a small team of two, managing all facets of the finance operations, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis. This presents a great opportunity to be a part of a thriving venue situated in the heart of Sydney.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements.
• Uphold financial controls and procedures to safeguard assets and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Create annual budgets and forecasts, monitoring performance and analysing financial results.
• Provide financial insights and recommendations to the CEO, contributing to profitability and operational efficiency.
• Maintain strong relationships external auditors, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with statutory requirements and reporting standards.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; CA or CPA qualification highly desirable.
• Proven senior finance experience, preferably within the hospitality industry.
• Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles, practices, and proficiency in financial analysis and reporting.
• Exceptional leadership skills, demonstrating the ability to mentor and train a team.
• Advanced proficiency in financial modelling, forecasting, and budgeting.
• Familiarity with relevant software, financial reporting tools, and a tech-savvy mindset embracing automation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with stakeholders at all levels.

Salary Guide: $150k - $160k plus Super
