About the Role:
Embark on an exciting Financial Controller opportunity at our client's Adelaide CBD Head Office. As the Financial Controller, you'll have the chance to dive into the heart of financial operations, providing hands-on support to stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational accounting and financial functions:
- Timely month-end processes, cash flow management.
- Oversight of accounts receivable, payable, and payroll.
- Reconciliations and year-end financial tasks.
- Budget and forecasting:
- Drive annual and monthly forecasting and collaborate with stakeholders for informed decisions.
- Regulatory and compliance:
- Manage R&D, FBT, BAS, Income Tax, Payroll Tax compliance.
- Adhere to Australian Accounting Standards, Corporations Act.
- Financial analysis and insights:
- Provide impactful financial models and deliver essential analysis for strategic decisions.
- Best practice initiatives:
- Identify performance improvements, optimise processes.
- Implement workflows for efficiency and risk reduction.
- Annual audit:
- Work with tax and audit advisors for compliance and manage relationships effectively for obligations.
About You:
- Must be an Australian citizen to apply.
- Ideal candidate is a Chartered Accountant or CPA with senior accounting experience.
- Bring positive attitude and collaborative mindset to deliver comprehensive accounting capabilities.
- Responsibilities include operational accounting, budgeting, compliance, financial analysis, and best practice initiatives.
- Strong attention to detail, excellent numerical skills, and ability to meet deadlines essential.
Essential Knowledge and Skills:
- Relevant degree in accounting or commerce, plus Chartered Accountant or CPA qualifications.
- Demonstrated commercial acumen and proficiency in financial functions.
- Experience in identifying workflow challenges and making process improvements.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work autonomously or within a team.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Baseline Security Clearance.
