The Role:
The Financial Controllerwill report to the CFO and have a high degree of financial acumen and knowledge of finance accounting principles,as well as ensuring financial compliance.
You will provide high-quality financial and management reporting, analysis and commercial insight that will enable management to make accurate and informed decisions contributing to the achievement of the group's annual business plans, profit targets and strategic objectives.
The position will ensure that all internal and external accountabilities relating to the organisation’s finances are met on a timely basis and to a high standard.
Responsibilities
- Day-to-day oversight of financial accounting, compliance and reporting policies and practices in accordance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements;
- Complete statutory compliance requirements, BAS, PAYG, FBT and related tax calculations; along with financial and analytical support for the group;
- Responsible for the financial and management reporting for the organisation. This includes daily, weekly and monthly reporting, budgeting and forecasting, longer-term financial plans.
- Develop, implement and monitor appropriate financial systems, procedures and internal controls to support the efficient and effective operation of the finance function;
- Responsible for the management of the company's financial resources, including cash flow, investments, and assets;
- Responsible for budgets, spending, reporting and financial accountability;
- Performing adhoc analysis pro-actively or as directed, to provide performance insights that aid growth and focus appropriate resource allocation;
- Develop strong and collaborative relationships with key stakeholders to ensure the effectiveness of communications and the resolution of issues.
- CA / CPA qualified, you are an emotionally intelligent finance executive with a track record of partnering with senior management to achieve profitable and sustainable growth.
- You have superior commercial and strategic acumen that is balanced by your advanced understanding alongwith day to day and end of month/year processes.
- You have excellent Analytical and Business Intelligence skills.
- You possess outstanding stakeholder management skills and adopt an innovative approach to process improvement and change management.
