Management of accounting, reporting, and budgeting.
Reporting to the Managing Director, this full-time role is based in Brisbane HQ overseeing all aspects of Financial Control of the Company over two manufacturing sites.
Key Responsibilities:
Management Reporting: Generate monthly management accounts, providing detailed variance analysis and commentary to inform business strategies.
Financial Accounting: Oversee the month-end close process, confirm the accuracy of income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Budgeting and Forecasting: Work with internal teams to prepare the annual budget and update forecasts, including cash flow projections.
Financial Analysis: Analyse profit and loss statements to guide strategic business decisions.
Operational Finance: Ensure the smooth running of accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll, maintaining efficiency and accuracy.
Procurement Oversight: Direct procurement processes, implementing policies that enhance cost-efficiency and ensure the integrity of the supply chain.
Cost Control: Introduce and maintain cost-reduction strategies to enhance operational efficiency and profitability.
Compliance: Maintain rigorous compliance with all financial regulations and tax laws and establish strong governance practices.
Leadership: Lead the finance team, fostering their professional growth and ensuring a high standard of financial management across the organisation.
Financial Systems and Processes: Evaluate and improve financial systems and processes to increase precision, efficiency, and overall productivity.
Qualifications:
- Qualifications in Finance, Accounting.
- Professional accreditation and/or membership.
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller.
- Extensive knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and best practices.
- Excellent management and supervisory skills.
- Exceptional analytical and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency in financial software and Excel.
