Job Description
This role is a key member of the corporate team and will report into the CFO. You will have day to day oversight of the following tasks but these will not be limited to:
- Prepare and present accurate monthly/quarterly reports for management
- Undertake business analysis and provide information to contribute to decision making
- Debtor/Creditor Control and management
- Preparation and lodgement of quarterly BAS
- Responsible for the general ledger and bank reconciliations
- Management of forecasts, budgets and treasury.
- Financial control, statutory obligations, and process improvement
- Liaising with external accountants/auditors for preparation of statutory accounts and tax compliance
- Manage, lead and develop a team a small team.
To be successful in this role you will be a qualified CPA of CA and have a strong understanding of Australian accounting standards and IFRS. You will have performed a Senior Finance role of a similar nature either in a Finance Manager or Financial Controller capacity previously. Crucial to your success in this role, you will be a problem solver and lateral thinker who has a 'can do' attitude and enjoys leading and coaching a team. In addition to this you will be able to think on a strategic level and understand how the organisations' objectives are met through teamwork. Previous experience in the FMCG, Product related or Agribusiness sector would also be advantageous but is not essential.
