The Lightmoves Group of companies all operate within the architectural and entertainment fields. This includes Lightmoves Pty Ltd who specialise in sales and system solutions, Resolution X; a lighting hire and production company, providing products and solutions for shows, events, exhibitions, openings, and conferences and Browns Precision Welding, a specialist metal fabricator. This role is supporting the finance activities across the group.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the directors in the optimisation of business performance
- Managing the finance team including training and development of direct reports
- Monitoring and maintaining multiple bank accounts.
- Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports
- Budgeting, forecasting & variation analysis (and commentary)
- Calculating, preparing and lodging taxes (payroll, withholding tax, BAS returns and FBT)
- Balancing, preparing, and maintaining general ledger accounts.
- Review of sales contracts as required ensuring their commercial viability
- Liaising with external accountants and financial advisors
- Liaising and negotiating with the bank on financing, bank guarantees and interest rates
- Liaising and negotiating with insurance brokers
You will have the following skills and attributes
- 5+ years of experience in a similar role(s) – ideally with a SME
- Ideally bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA certification) or equivalent experience
- Proficiency in financial modelling and reporting
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and ATO Compliance
- Experience in accounting for multiple entities
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to people at all levels within an organisation
- A very high attention to detail along with well advanced analytical and critical thinking skill
This role is replacing the current incumbent who is retiring so a handover will be provided to enable every chance of a successful transition.
