We are seeking a Financial Controller to join our team and lead our company to the next level of growth through better financial structure.
To ensure success for this role, you will need to be humble, have good communication and people skills, be able to problem solve and have a sound financial background.
Our preference for this role is part time although we will consider a full time role if this is your preference. The full time role will also be combined with other tasks such as but not limited to IT, Systems and Processes, Bookkeeping, Payroll.
Financial Controller's Responsibilities:
- Management of end of month close out, producing finalised P&L and Balance Sheet
- Cashflow reporting and management
- Drive and support financial administration or current projects
- Develop and implement improved costing processes for projects to capture all relevant costs to the appropriate project.
- Assist Project Delivery team with analysing costings to compare budget actuals and report
- Oversee maintenance of project costs and forecast costs to complete, including comparison to project budgets
- Training and support of team with creation of PO’s
- Invoicing of project at appropriate milestones
- Management of accounts receivable for projects
- Investigate and resolve queries from the Project Managers and Finance Team
- Accounts payable bill processing (projects and production)
- Payroll support when required
Administration
- Debtor follow up activities
- Deal with correspondence - including correspondence with clients and suppliers
Financial Controller's Requirements:
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Be proficient in excel
- Strong time management and organizational abilities.
- Be humble, energetic and courageous
- Have a strong financial background
- Have very good communication, oral, writing, computer and listening skills.
- Be able to travel to our Head office in Narre Warren, VIC
Note; this is a part time role (16-24 hours a week) and there is no ability to work from home. The hours are flexible and can be tailored to your schedule.
