Financial Controller

Job Description:

ARA Building Services are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller to join our rapidly growing team. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, detail-oriented, and possess exceptional financial management and leadership abilities

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including profit and loss statements, WIP, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Analyze financial data and provide strategic recommendations to the managing director and executive team.
• Manage the day-to-day activities of the finance department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
• Lead the annual budgeting process and provide ongoing financial guidance to department heads.
• Collaborate with external and internal auditors and tax advisors to ensure timely and accurate completion of audits and tax filings.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement efficient financial systems and procedures

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; CPA or CA certification preferred.
• Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role, preferably in building services industry.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal abilities.

Reporting Relationship: The Financial Controller will report directly to the Managing Director.
