THE OPPORTUNITY
Due to its continued expansion into international markets, the company is growing and a newly created role within the Finance Team has been created. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the role ofFinancial Controllerwill oversee the full end-to-end finance function of the Group and lead a small high-performing team in providing financial control and strategy, management and statutory reporting, taxation, payroll, banking, debt management, cash flow and budget management and to support the group’s Integrated Business Planning process including:
- Developing financial strategy, including risk minimization plans and legal entity structures
- Preparation of monthly financial and management reporting, including P&L, cash flow and balance sheet statements and KPI reports.
- Oversight of year-end statutory accounts & year end audit process
- Forecast management for 5-year plan and model
- Cash flow and working capital financial management
- Preparing company tax and BAS statements
- Company Secretarial oversight (e.g. ASIC, Board Minutes etc.)
- Provide leadership, direction, coaching, mentoring and support to the finance team.
- Perform Quality management System activities as required.
- Degree qualified in Finance or Accounting and membership of a recognized professional accounting organisation
- Ideally Chartered Accountant (CA) qualified or CPA
Ideally, you will have five years-experience - combination of Chartered Accounting in audit with industry experience in FMCG/Manufacturing/Food. High level understanding of financial management practices, forecasting, budgetary principles and business planning processes. High level accounting technical skills and commercially astute with maturity to manage external stakeholders such as banks, auditors, ATO etc. Strong modelling skills and ideally experience with ERP systems such as Pronto.
