THE POSITION

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead the finance team and partner with the wider business as a key member of Evolve Group leadership team.

The Financial Controller will play a critical role in ensuring exceptional financial management and providing recommendations and strategies to improve our financial position and overall business performance. Specifically, you will be responsible for:

• Line management of the Finance and Purchasing team, setting, managing and achieving key deliverables that will ensure the ongoing growth and success of the business.
• Lead the Financial Control and Business Performance function, including financial and management accounting functions for the Evolve Group.
• Responsible for delivering relevant and accurate financial information to the Board, management and other internal and external parties in a timely and efficient manner.
• Drive improvements in controls, reporting and decision making across the Evolve Group through developments in people, processes and systems.
• Maintain compliance while delivering on the Evolve Group’s statutory, regulatory and taxation obligations.
• Timely and accurate budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, management reporting, compliance and tax.
• Maintain a robust cash flow forecast and actively manage working capital.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE TEAM

• At least 7-years’ experience in financial roles preferably in manufacturing or a similar industry;
• Proven leadership experience in a similar position;
• Formal qualifications at degree level in a financial or accounting discipline;
• Membership of a recognised professional accounting body (CPA / CA);
• Excellent technical skills and legislative knowledge, with a strong grasp of accounting concepts, ethics and international accounting standards;
• Experience using ERP solutions;
• Commercially focussed and technically astute with a continuous improvement style – investigate, challenge, evaluate, and innovate;
• A growth mindset, resilience, and perseverance to follow things through to the end; and
• Effective and well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
