This is a rare opportunity to join the folds of a large faith-based non-profit organisation spanning a wide geography in the education, community, and social services space. As Financial Controller, you will occupy a place of confidence with the CFO and senior leaders overseeing everyday financial operations. A primary focus of your role will be leadership of financial planning and analysis, including budget preparation and forecasting.
Serving an organisation with a diverse and inclusive ecosystem, you will play a pivotal role in financial operations, business partnering, and staff leadership. You will gain valuable insights into the nuances of mission-based services and the real difference they make to communities. You will be able to help important stakeholders with timely analysis, advice, and information to support business decisions.
For a proven Finance Controller
Building reliance on the finance function as a trusted leader will require clarity, purpose and credibility in the advice provided and the quality and service standards delivered.
Join our team and take on the following responsibilities:
- Prepare and manage annual financial statements, quarterly financials, and monthly management reports.
- Ensure compliance by preparing and lodging regulatory and statutory reports on GST, FBT, Payroll Tax, Superannuation and PAYG.
- Oversee forecasting, budgets, AP/AR, and reconciliations.
- Manage financial systems and external providers to maintain operational efficiency.
- Drive continuous improvement in data collection, reporting and processes.
A vital aspect of this role is a natural ability to communicate with others, a willingness to understand and share details, and a desire to develop and mentor your team. The leadership team is open and receptive to ideas for improvement, so feel free to share them.
