We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Financial Controllerto join the Group Support Office.
This role is an essential part of the Executive Leadership Team and will help drive the Finance Function in the business with the support of well-established team of Finance Support team in our overseas office. Financial Controller will lead the end to end finance function as well as a small team of both in-house and support from External Consultant for support
This position offers the platform to showcase your financial management experience, strategic skills and leadership abilities in our ever-changing industry. As this role reports to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) so you are well supported and set up for success.
Skills required
- Experience in development of financial policies and procedures to efficiently operate the financial division
- Full Knowledge of payroll and loading rates, fairwork compliance and accounts
- Ensure compliance with all finance related procedures, ASIC, ATO dealings and business exchange and settlement procedures
- Have working knowledge of accounting system like Xero
- Have working knowledge of all accounts systems and regulatory compliance
- Developing financial strategy, including risk minimisation plans and opportunity forecasting
- High level reporting and analysis
- Cash flow management
- Improving efficiencies and reducing costs across the business
- High level analytical skills
- Stakeholder management
- Working closely with the executive team to share reports and analysis findings
- Understanding of Management Letting Rights Business, Hospitality or Services Industry is preferred but not mandatory
What we need from you
- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Financial Controller
- CPA or CA qualified
- Previous experience using SAP by Design and/or Xero Accounting is preferable
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
- Excellent accounting software user and administration skills
- Experience in using financial analysis tools to generate reports
- Stakeholder and relationship development skills
- Time management skills
- Critical attention to detail
- Communication skills (written and verbal) and
- Troubleshooting skills
