Client Details

My client is seeking a driven and ambitious Financial Controller to play a pivotal role in their continued growth trajectory. As a key member of their finance team, you will lead the evolution of our accounting systems and policies to ensure robust controls and efficiency. Additionally, you will oversee and provide support to their payroll function, ensuring seamless operations.

Description

Key Responsibilities will include the following:

• Lead external financial reporting, management reporting, and commercial business partnering efforts.
• Collaborate with the broader finance team to drive timely month-end close, reconciliations, and insightful analysis for stakeholders.
• Maintain and review general ledger entries, fostering continuous improvement in finance processes.
• Spearhead ERP and other business systems implementation and enhancement projects.
• Manage the payroll function and provide backup support as needed.
• Ensure compliance with BAS, FBT returns, and other regulatory requirements.
• Support monthly reporting needs and contribute to annual budgeting and forecasting processes.

Profile

The successful candidate will ideally have the following:

• CA or CPA qualification with extensive experience in a similar financial leadership role within a $100M-$200M organisation.
• Previous exposure to manufacturing, industrial, or distribution sectors would be highly advantageous.
• Proven track record overseeing complex payroll functions is highly desirable.
• Strong people leadership skills with a passion for developing high-performance teams.
• Exceptional business partnering abilities, capable of influencing stakeholders across the organisation.
• Ambitious and motivated individual with a focus on technical accounting and process improvement initiatives.
