Your new organisation is a not-for-profit based in South Melbourne.
Your new role
As a Financial Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing the accounting and corporate reporting requirements. The position reports directly to the CFO and manages a small finance team.
See your responsibilities below:
- Oversee production and review of monthly P& L and balance sheet
- Prepare annual budgets and forecasts
- Provide informed and strategically oriented analysis of wages and salary costs
- Financial modelling and analysis
- Prepare financial statements - including board and audit, statutory accounts
- Management of milestone forecasts for public and private funding grants, including reporting and acquittal
- Supervise end to end payroll process
- Continuous process and operation improvement
What you'll need to succeed
- Tertiary qualifications in accountancy, plus Chartered or CPA certification
- Previous experience as a Financial Controller within a complex organisation
- Experience and confidence in managing regulatory, compliance and reporting matters within both the commercial and not-for-profit domains
- Ability to translate complex financial concepts
- Opened to candidates from different industry backgrounds
