Who are we looking for?
We are seeking an experienced Financial Counsellor to provide comprehensive and integrated financial counselling services to individuals, families, and communities. Work together with clients to provide financial education and support to work towards a stable financial future. Empower clients with knowledge and confidence in dealing with their finances.
What can you expect to be doing?
  • Identify and implement assessment and interventions which contribute to demonstrable high-quality outcomes in accordance with agreed financial counselling standards.
  • Provide case management services to collate and disseminate accurate and relevant financial material and resources and ensure participants are referred to appropriate internal and external services.
  • Actively participate in local forums and networks and liaise with other service agencies to develop operative working relationships.
  • Complete and maintain accurate, comprehensive, and high-level case noting.
What do you need to bring?
  • Diploma in Financial Counselling (essential) − Certificate 4 in Training and Assessment (desirable) − Member of SAFCA or eligible to become a member (membership must be current and maintained whilst in the FC role)
  • Demonstrated ability to complete accurate, comprehensive, and high-level case noting.
  • Demonstrated understanding of activity outputs and outcomes, including qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Proven ability to work with First Nations communities, and Culturally and Linguistically Diverse, Newly Arrived and emerging communities.
